Want to get more nutrients into your child’s diet in an easy and effective way? Juicing may be the answer. Juicing vegetables and fruit is the best way to pack your children’s diet full of antioxidants, vitamins and nutrients, resulting in increased energy and improved health.

We are very excited to bring fresh cold pressed juices for parents and kids at the kids cafe. We feel it is so important for people and kids who may not meet the recommended intake of fruits and vegetables, sipping 100% cold pressed juice is one way to get some of the nutrients they need. It's a great source of vitamin C and is often fortified with calcium. We use local organic produce as much as we can when available, as this can be hard to find in winter months locally.

We use a slow juicing method which differ from centrifugal juicers that shred and spin ingredients using high speed, which creates heat and nutrient damage. Masticating juicers use low speed to gently crush and press ingredients into the most nutrient-rich juice.

Juice Cleanse

With summer coming up we have built 1 and 3 day juice cleanses that you can use in a few ways.

  1. Total juice fast which replaces all meals with juice. This requires discipline and you may feel affects of detox such as headaches, fatigue, difficulty thinking, moodiness, stomach pain and hunger pangs.

  2. Meal replacement. Use the juices to replace half your meals that are high in carbs such as rice, pasta, bread.

Activated charcoal 

The activated variety is processed so it becomes ultra-absorbent and safe to consume. It contains tons of tiny little sponge-like pores that suck up everything in sight as soon as it hits the digestive tract. 

You should skip out on this drink if you are someone who is taking prescription medications or supplements. Charcoal can't tell the difference between toxins, meds, vitamins, and minerals. If there is something you have been prescribed by a doctor that is keeping you healthy and safe, do not under any circumstance drink charcoal. Also any pregnant or breastfeeding mom’s should not choose this drink.

PICK UP ON THE DAY YOU CHOOSE. We do ask for a 48 hour notice.

DIRECTIONS:

Replace food with juice. Drink all 6 bottles in 1 day.

Most drink 1 juice every 2 hours.

Most do not get hungry on the cleanse but if you do, a great tip is to add a pinch of sea salt to some water. If you are going to eat, we recommend single ingredient foods.

It is normal to have a headache or feel achy the day after a cleanse. The body is detoxing. Drink plenty of water to help flush the system faster.

Juices must stay refrigerated (under 4 degrees).
